There probably isn’t much I can say about this tablet that you don’t already know (unless you’ve been living on another planet recently), but the [easyazon_link asin=”B00G4DSRPW” locale=”UK” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”collinslad-21″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]IPAD AIR[/easyazon_link] is, in my opinion, a stunning piece of equipment. In many ways it’s a bigger version of the iPad Mini which in itself is also stunning.
I reckon the [easyazon_link asin=”B00G4DSRPW” locale=”UK” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”collinslad-21″ add_to_cart=”yes” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”no”]IPAD AIR[/easyazon_link] is the king of tablets. It’s easy to set up, as with all Apple devices just connect to your iTunes and you’re away. Simple! Well not always as sometimes there is the odd hiccup, but technology wouldn’t seem so technical without the odd “oh bugger it’s not working” or “sod this I don’t like it, I didn’t have this problem with my last one”. That’s just part of life, but you know the score.

Yes it is one of the most expensive tablets on the market but I rate it tops for design, features and usability. To be fair, I have found if I have too many Safari browser tabs open at the same time that it does tend to crash, but that may be because it can’t cope with the load.
You can get various storage capacity – 16, 32 or 64 gigabytes, I have a 16 gig Wi-Fi model which is fine for me, so this review is based on that. Obviously if you go for a Wi-Fi and Cellular version it’ll cost you more and you’ll also need a sim contract, so even more cost.
Here’s some of the technical features:
- Weight – 467 grams
- Dimensions – 0.8 x 16.9 x 24 cm
- Screen size – 9.7 inches
- Processor – A7 64-bit
- RAM – 1024mb
- Memory type – SDRAM
- Wireless type -802.11A, 802.11B, 802.11G, 802.11n
- Average battery length – 32 hours
The [easyazon_link asin=”B00G4DSRPW” locale=”UK” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”collinslad-21″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]IPAD AIR[/easyazon_link] is built very well, it looks like a premium device, plus it’s very lightweight at about 467 grams, although I thought it felt heavier than it looked. The screen is very clear, although I find not brilliant when out in sunshine.
Of course most people go for the cheaper 16 gig option, but as I said that’s fine for me as I don’t store lots of audio on it. If that’s what you want it for then you may be better off buying a model with more storage space but that does come at a premium.
There’s no touch ID as there is on the latest iPhone, but I’m sure that will be included in the next version. Talking of versions, I do find it a pain that once you buy the latest model its not long before the next one is released and yours is out of date. I suppose that’s more about the speed of technology advancement rather than Apple, although it does make me sometimes wonder if manufacturers plan in order to increase sales.
In summary, I love the [easyazon_link asin=”B00G4DSRPW” locale=”UK” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”collinslad-21″ add_to_cart=”yes” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”no”]Apple Silver IPAD AIR[/easyazon_link], nothing is perfect but this mean machine has really impressed me with it’s look, ease of operation and downright convenience.
